Our Creation Story
Positive PreMeds was established as a registered student organization in 2022 when a small group of pre-health students wanted to create a comforting place centered around personal well-being and mental health advocacy for pre-health/medical students. Today, we are one of the premier mental health organizations for pre-health students with the intent to serve the UIUC student body and the healthcare community as a whole.
Mission
The mission of Positive PreMeds is to enhance mental health awareness, promote individual empowerment, and increase access to treatment and resources for mental health.
Vision
Our vision is to seek a campus cultural change as well as one within the general healthcare community regarding mental health and the stigmas associated with such. We want to improve the quality of life of pre-health students on campus.
